How distribution works: PreparedWay prepares your release—profile, metadata, audio, artwork, and rights confirmations—and our team reviews it. Delivery to streaming platforms and digital stores is handled by our distribution partner, who also provides royalty reporting and payouts according to our agreement. Your PreparedWay account is where you prepare and track your side of the journey; store links and detailed delivery timelines are shared when your release is live (by email or in the app as we add those features).

You retain ownership of masters, compositions, and supporting IP tied to uploads. PreparedWay stewards onboarding, metadata, approvals, and partner forwarding—we are caregivers of process, never owners of your calling.
Master Rights Protection
Masters remain yours. Non-exclusive framing (where applicable) preserves flexibility with other lawful outlets—always defer to executed agreements and Terms.

Publishing & Composition Support
We help catalogue PRO details, songwriter splits, and cover registrations when applicable so partner submissions stay accurate—full publishing administration is an explicit add-on, not silently bundled.
Cover songs require lawful mechanical coverage; ask support before uploading.
Splits & collaborators
Capture collaborator percentages inside PreparedWay for accurate forwarding to our distribution partner—statements referencing those splits evolve as royalty integrations finish. Automated payouts straight to collaborators depend on partner tooling and contractual setup; we spell out whatever is operational for each release tier.

Content Protection Options

Ownership verification: You must control or licence 100% of recordings, compositions, and artwork you upload.
Samples & remixes: Secure written clearance before releasing derivative works.
Cover songs: Mechanical licensing pathways depend on geography and catalogue—coordinate with PreparedWay before distributing covers.
Collaborator remuneration: You remain accountable for honouring creatives whether payouts route through PreparedWay dashboards or externally.
Honest Stewardship
You receive recording royalties PreparedWay actually earns and receives from qualifying digital stores, subject to withdrawal rails, Taxes, processors, optional services—and always consistent with Terms. We avoid hidden deductions at the PreparedWay layer and surface fee clarity up front while partner statements mature.
